The New Covenant: Relationship

 

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Jeremiah 31:31-34

 

37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, & take away the foreskins of your heart….

Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

24-But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth & knoweth me…..

And I will give them one heart, & I will put a new spirit within you; & I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, & will give them a heart of flesh: 20-That they may walk in my statutes, & keep mine ordinances, & do them: & they shall be my people & I will be their God.  Ezekiel 11:19-20

 

For I desired mercy, & not sacrifice; & the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Hosea 6:6

 

16-And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi (husband); and shalt call me no more Baali (Lord).

17-For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

18-And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

19-And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

20-I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.

21-And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear , saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; 22-And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.

23-And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy ; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say , Thou art my God.
