The burden of Damascus (Syria).  Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, & it shall be a ruinous heap.

BEIRUT — The Syrian opposition on Wednesday accused the government of launching a chemical weapons attack in the Damascus suburbs that killed large numbers of civilians as they slept and packed makeshift hospitals with hundreds of victims convulsing and gasping for breath.  (Obama declares a RED LINE has been crossed & threatens to “step in”.)  (Note:  Damascus is credited as being the oldest functioning city on the planet, approx. 5,000 years.)

 

 

And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: & they shall fight every one against his brother, & every one against his neighbour;

city against city, & kingdom against kingdom….

As far as I know, Egypt has not experienced a civil war on this scale until now.

 

….and the (Nile) river shall be wasted & dried up…

(I suggest you research the threat that Ethiopia’s building of a poorly engineered dam poses for the Egyptian Nile.  President Morsi had threatened military attack against Ethiopia to prevent its completion, but of course he’s been removed.  The existence of this dam makes Egypt particularly vulnerable in the event of war.)

 

The U.S. has been giving Egypt billions of dollars for decades to avoid war with Israel.  However, the Obama has suggested reducing or cutting off funding since the current insurgency against the Morsi government.  Russia & Saudi Arabia immediately offered to replace Egypt’s lost U.S. funding.  If this scenario were to move forward, irretrievable loss of American control in the region would place Israel in serious jeopardy as well as further inflame U.S.-Russian hostilities.  Additionally, the Russians have supplied Syria with warships, armaments & Russian soldiers.

 

Most importantly, since 2009 Israel has discovered several natural gas/oil fields off its territorial Mediterranean coast.  Moreover, Israel is about to start drilling for oil in the Golan Heights, territory recognized as belonging to Syria but Israeli occupied since the 1967.  Russia & the U.S. won't be sparring about a chemical attack against Muslim rebels.  Make no mistake, both sides are in it for the big  plunder.  Keep in mind, Russia's primary export is natural gas.  To fully understand why Syria has become the battleground requires looking at its geographical advantage on a map.  What you will find is that Israel's natural gas locations are in oceanic waters which Syria borders to the north.  Let's take a look at the Biblical foreboding of this scenario, keeping in mind that Gog refers to the nation of Russia.

 

....prophesy & say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?.  And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou & many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, & a mighty army:  And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, & I will bring thee against my land that the heathen may know me when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes....

Ezekiel 38:14-16

 

And I will turn thee back, & leave but the sixth part of thee, & will cause thee to come up from the north parts, & will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:  And will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.  Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, & all thy bands, & the people that is with thee...

Hopefully, you will take the time to read the full chapters of both Ezekiel 38 & 39.  They reveal much more than I've written here. 

A number of military experts are claiming that World War 3 has ALREADY begun.  They claim that at this stage it is being fought as a “war of proxies”, which is to say it is currently being fought on third world soil.
