GOD IS PLEADING FOR US:

 

God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness:

all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Many Christians mistakenly believe that there is only ONE god.  The reality is that the bible states unequivocally that there are MANY gods.  There is, however, only one Living God & Christians are commanded to worship ONLY Him.  Without this understanding one is easily lured into the New Age distortion that says, while religious expression may differ radically, all religious people are uniformly giving honor to the same god. 

 

According to the scriptures the Most High God worshipped by Christ was indeed the Creator of all things including the fallen angels that now revile Him for supremacy in the human heart.

 

6 I have said, Ye are gods;

and all of you are children of the most High.

Psalm 82:8

 

For by him were all things created,

that are in heaven, and that are in earth,

visible and invisible,

whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:

all things were created by him, and for him….

Colossians 1:16

 

We have been given the freedom to choose between a God that genuinely cares about us & those that only pretend.  While God will never break the rules of His own game, during this latter day period of judgment our God of great love & tender mercies has promised to plead our cause in the courts of heaven.  Please be as cooperative as you possibly can.

 

 Like as a father pitieth his children,

so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

14 For he knoweth our frame;

he remembereth that we are dust.

Therefore thus saith the Lord;

Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee…

33 Thus saith the Lord of hosts;

The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together:

and all that took them captives held them fast;

they refused to let them go.

34 Their Redeemer is strong;

the Lord of hosts is his name:

he shall throughly plead their cause…

 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat,

and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel,

whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
